A bit about me....
I grew up with working border collies on a dairy farm and have also owned a chocolate labrador. I have always loved and felt a great affinity towards dogs and have been fascinated by the beautiful regal Hungarian Vizsla. I have bred my own male Vizsla and trained several of his offspring in recent years having gained an insight into this exceptional intelligent dog, originally bred to work as a retriever and pointer in Hungary. I am always amazed at the breed's charming characteristics, intelligence and complexed personality.
Qualifications
I have trained with The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and adhere to their strict code of conduct supporting positive, force-free, scientific approaches to dog training and behaviour.
Having gained the knowledge to train obedience, recall and loose-lead walking, my method of training is to provide a positive experience for both owner and dog. The main focus is to improve the bond through clear communication making the most of a special, rewarding relationship.

By keeping in touch with the owners of several of my dog's offspring, I have been able to monitor the development of the puppies and help with the challenges of owning one of these dogs through diet, routine and training from a vey early age.
Services...
I provide one-to-one training sessions using positive reward-based techniques. I also provide socialisation walks, which are a great way for your dog to learn social skills and have fun at the same time!
One-to-one training:
I can come to your home or meet at a local public area for training sessions where you can benefit from individual attention which can be harder in a class environment. I can help you to put the training into practice and follow up written versions of the exercises we cover at each session, supporting you and your dog until you achieve the goal of owing a happy, well behaved dog.
Socialisation walks:
Vizsla's love the company of other Vizslas and are extremely social dogs. They adore nothing better than to be out and about with their owners or sitting with their head on your lap when you are relaxing at home. They are called the Velcro dog for their affectionate nature and the urge to be close to their owners at all times.
I offer walks with you and your dog in the company of my own dog where I can talk you through the dynamics of understanding your dog's body language and their behaviour at that moment. There should be a fun element to the walk for both dogs and a good opportunity for me and the owner to grab some exercise in the outdoors. This helps to refine your puppy’s social skills more effectively than the usual meet in the park with other dogs. This is also a great opportunity to practice your puppy’s recall and off leading walking.
